About Us

FencingSucks.com is the collective brainchild of Salle de Sucent, from beautiful Mount Rose, Minnesota.

We were in Austin, Texas for the 2000 Summer Nationals and noticed that a lot of fencers sucked. And that a lot of directors sucked. And that being in 105 degree heat in Austin in July sucked almost as much being in South Bend in January for a NAC.

We also noticed that while lots of fencers could whine for hours about what sucked, there didn't exist an open forum to share and ease our collective misery.

So we created FencingSucks.com as a place to let loose about the directors with 20/400 vision, the slimy cheaters and wannabes, the events run like banana republics, etc. We also see this as a handy place to learn about who's sleeping with whom (or what), to collect embarrassing photos and generally have a little fun.

So let us have it. Tell us about all the things that suck about fencing and we'll post your pearls of wisdom for the world to see. And lest you think we're just a bunch of pessimists, we also warmly welcome your tales of sublime joy. Speak up about your heroes and favorites and those for whom you lust. We'll post it all.
